It is indeed my privilege to be the Founder Principal of the Noida campus of Global Indian International School (GIIS), an institution that imparts world-class education to students across 3 continents, 7 countries and 20 campuses.

The challenges of tomorrow’s world involve complex issues like energy, environment, economics and equity. Yesterday’s methods will not solve tomorrow’s problems. In addition to domain knowledge, what will drive success in the world today’s children will grow up in, is an innate understanding of the inter-connectedness and inter-dependencies that form the underpinnings of the “global village”. It has therefore become imperative that children be empowered with cognitive and experiential skills that would help them to be global citizens and overcome the challenges of tomorrow. Today’s students must learn a new set of skills, ensuring that they can embrace interconnected concepts, think independently, work collaboratively, act decisively, communicate unambiguously and influence positively. These are precisely the benefits that a “global education” offers.

In each of its campuses across the world, GIIS has endeavoured to bring to life the global dimension in its classrooms. Our campus at Noida will be no different! On behalf of all my teaching and non-teaching staff at GIIS Noida, I commit to draw on the philosophy, curriculum, methodology and processes that have resulted in GIIS schools producing global toppers and being bestowed with global awards in Educational Excellence.

In keeping with its ethos, the school would provide an interactive platform to all learners for meaningful discussions with their peers elsewhere in different countries so that they can learn sharing their experience. GIIS would provide continuous opportunities for enhancement of skills in different domains including, music, arts, sports and theatre.

As a wise man said, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire!” We look forward to lighting the fire in our children that leads them on to wisdom and truth for the greater good of humankind.
